DNS MX Records

I want the MX records in my plus hosted domain to point to a mail relay outside of Plus which is providing AV and spam filtering

Using the Plus Configure DNS control panel, is it legal to have a blank left field and a FQDN host name in the right field.

e.g.
left, type, pri, right
,MX,10,mail1.avfilter.net
,MX,20,mail2.avfilter.net

I seem to recall that you can end up with your own domain name appended if you get this wrong.

Help appreciated

Not sure about the left field but put a trailing dot on to the right field Wink

(Without the trailing dot the name isn't terminated and so you might get plus.com etc appended...)

Ahh. I always forget that bit thanks.

The blank left field seems to have worked.
