Connection speed on plus

Yep, the BT Speedtest can be a little temperamental. Generally seems to work best during off peak hours because less people are using it. Also seems (to me at least) prefer Internet Explorer.

Connection speed on plus

HI, i'm on Plus up to 8Mb. When i do a speed test using my upspeed is 363.43Kbps and Downspeed is 501.25 Kbps. I know the speed is supposed to be area dependent, however this is the same speed my connection had over 2 years ago when the plus account had a 512Kbps connection. I would have thought technology would have done something by now to increase the connection speed!!!

Any ideas please?

Judging by your upspeed, it looks like you've been moved to an "Upto 8Mb" connection.

Could you give this a whirl : http://speedtester.bt.com ?

First the phone number for the line, then the login name which you use for your broadband connection. This will be <whatever>@f9.co.uk

Patience is needed, it can take a minute or two to work through the test.
