Changing address in the address bar

Hi,

I've just put my Actinic Catalogue onto my cgi server, but because its in frames I had to put the frame page onto the cgi and not the webspace because that's the only way it would work.

However, this means that the address in the bar becomes:

http://cgi.gavinandpage.plus.com/acatalog

But what I want is for the domain name to still show, ie
http://www.gp-logistics.com

I have heard that there is a way of changing the address to whatever you want. Does anyone know how?

Thanks
Dawn

Changing address in the address bar

You can now host your domain 100% on the CGI server. However, currenly only from the root of your space (may soon change).

This means you can't use the "host in directory" method of the www server.

To organise this, use the link:contact us service.

This will prevent any need for frame re-direction.

Changing address in the address bar

Hi acarr,

Does that mean that I can have the domain hosted entirely on the cgi server instead of on the web server?

I have PDF links in my catalogue and due to the limited space on the cgi server I won't be able to put them on there. I will shortly have another domain hosted on the web server, am I right in thinking that I will have to put my PDF files on this domain because gp-logistics.com will no longer be on that server?

Thanks for your help with this matter.

Not strictly true.

You can now mix and match which server you use the webspace on, meaning you can use upto 250MB (account dependant) on the CGI server, rather than just 50.
