Cannot delete directories from cgi webspace

Hello,

I have a problem - I have some directories on my cgi websapce that I want to delete, however I can't. I keep get error messages saying the directories are not empty, yet when I browse through them, they are empty! Anyone else had this problem? I am using Cute FTP 5, and have tried switching bewteen passive modes. Also tried telnet and using unix commands to delete with no luck.

Anyone got any suggestions before I raise a ticket?

thanks

Michael

Filenames that start with a . (period) are not displayed by default.

This is designed as a hidden feature, but not for security. So if you have lots of settings files in a single directory, then these can be hidden and only the real files displayed.

Most FTP clients have a feature to enable the display. This should be named somthing like "display hidden" or "display all". On some clients, it asks you what the command to list files is, you should change this to "ls -a"
