Although I am able to connect fine, I am getting 408 timeout, when testing.

Any sugestions

I've raised a ticket via Support earlier this evening. Just waiting for a response.

PlusNet support want me to try and call someone, rather than the 7000 test message. As nobody I know can get PlusTalk running, could someone that has got it running PM me, so I can just do a test call.

Just tried a test call with someone, and got the same problem ("Call failed: 408 Timeout").

Fixed it! Found help on ADSLGuide and X-Lite support forums. For Speedtouch routers, the following may need to be run in the CLI:-
nat unbind application=SIP port=5060

It removes a binder/helper, which is sometimes needed for SIP applications which don't know how to use NAT properly. Obviously with the X-Lite, it does more harm than good.
