A Fairystory, you might believe......

:roll:

Once upon a time there was a computer user (CU) and he loved the internet, loved to do what he wanted when he wanted all from the comfort of his bedroom. One day CU decided to get broadband, a thing he had had before and was indeed happy to back to again with the same company, NegativeBag, was the company name.

He dilligently got all the information and told his Mummy (what he loves very much) so she could sign up for the service. CU was very excited that not only could he get 2mb conx, but for a lot less as well, so he convinced Mummy to stump up the cash for the conc cost and modem and first months conx fee.

It took a while for the conx to come through but the due date arrived and the modem came into the home and shortly thereafter was connected to the internet with the power of 2mb. Now at the time he was due to be connected, that same day (a mighty conincidence only, I am sure) the price for his conx dropped from £24.99 to £14.99. This was great news, not only was he connected but he would be paying less.

Because he was paying this amount (or at least Mummy was) he was offered upto a 4mb conx, and to say he was pleased would be an understatement. He was told by the lovely people at NegativeBag that the service was not available at the moment but he would have it as soon as it was available. Now you may think "wow that is jolly nice of them to do that". Herein lies the sting, the 4mb conx would not be available until the end of the year and seeing as his service started in April '05, not getting a 4mb conx but a 2mb did not seem too bad.

Reasonabley he expected there to be some kind of recompence, because surely a company the staure of NegativeBag would not charge for a full service that they were not providing and not able to provide but still charge him for.

And low the day came to a dawning realisation after many phone calls, emails that were wriiten by a trained monkey (probably ex-freeserve employee), he was not to recive any money back but cheerfully instruccted that upon the 4mb service being available he would get the up grade for free. Now can anyone see a logical line of thought here? No, neither could CU.

He was told he would get an upgrade for free, but Cu could not work out how it could be 'a free' upgrade when he had already been paying for the service since April '05 (and no it was not from the fist of April, he checked already).

So until the day of reckoning which as Negative Bag hold all the cards, Cu just sat waited and wondered if they would ever come to their senses and give some money back.

*only the company name has been changed to avoid legal problems but every word is true*

    * The contract was made
    * The set up was within the periood that was stipulated in the contract
    * The fact that the company offered a different contract to others at a later time does not negate the validity of the contract that was entered into.
