web mail fault - still unresolved after 3 weeks

Using web mail is a pain normally but working abroad it is useful
The current fault with web mail is now 3 weeks old -
new mail is not displayed and addresses in the address book are scrambled.
Three weeks is far too long for this issue to be outstanding and to have to rely on Mail2web for picking up mail.
The immediate denial of a problem by the specialist help desk was disappointing and only the persistent mails from the phone guys to say they could see the problem achieved any response
This is a real pain and needs resolving
Why no announcement of this fault and the abysmal response time to put it right ?
Not the quality service expected or experienced in the past.

Hi there,
Sorry it's taking so long, it is still being looked at but unfortunately it's not a widespread problem and is also mitigated by the fact that most webmail users are using the new roundcube platform (http://betawebmail.plus.net - this works fine for metronet users too). Unfortunately there's no easy way of moving address book entries between the two though, unfortunately they'd all need moving over manually.
I appreciate this isn't the answer you were looking for and am sorry about that.

Just letting you know that we've updated the squirrel mail package that we use for webmail today, this means that the issues you've seen with the address book should now be fixed.
We'd appreciate it if you could take the time to try this again and let us know if all appears to be OK.

I cant purge my email as soon as I hit purge it says fail goto login and then its still the same tried on several pc's

Do you get the same error on beta webmail?
I've been able to replicate this on my account too so I'll get a problem raised.

Beta webmail how do I get that?

http://betawebmail.plus.net or just hit the "advanced webmail" button when you visit the usual webmail page.

If that's the case, would you be happy to keep using the beta for this (or for your webmail in general)?
