Hi, just joined plusnet but having problems sending mail from any mail program, webmail works fine. When I try to send through outlook the password box keeps popping up and doesn`t accept the password, I have setup smtp authorisation and using my username and password as I am not yet on plusnet connection, SSL is off, I have the same problem with the secondary email I set up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ahh just read on another thread my connection needs to be up and running before I can send emails.

Yes, that's correct - you are not allowed to use SMTP authentication until your broadband service goes live. You need to use webmail or the SMTP server of your current broadband service provider.
