unable to send emails from USA

in USA and get a server time out message when trying to send emails, able to receive OK. Have checked settings,

Finding it really frustrating to navigate the site and raise a ticket, hence posting this message. All suggestions gratefully received.

thanks, I'm using Outlook for Mac 2011 so I get a different set of menus that do not include a way of switching on STMP authentication unless I'm missing something obvious,

Hi @outinthesticks,

There should be an option on your client to set the SMTP server authentication details manually, which should be the username and password for your account. I am sorry that I can't direct you to the exact place on your client where you can change these settings as they are all set out differently.
