I have a new Samsung S8500 Wave phone.
I've set it up to access my plusnet e-mail but I can only recieve, not send
Anybody know what the settings are for sending?

You probably need to use authentication with the PlusNet smtp server.
Try selecting SMTP requires authentication, the username/password is your main plusnet username/password ( the ones you use to login to the portal ).

I should also have said I'm with 3 - that's the problem. Found the answer is using their outgoing mail servernot plusnet.

Yep, that'll be it!. They block access to any other smtp server. They have 2 servers BTW smtp.three.co.uk and smtp-mbb.three.co.uk , you want the latter, the other will automatically change the 'from' address to your 3 account on any emails sent.
