Very weird.  My postfix server has been working happily for many months (since I moved from BeThere) but suddently relay.plus.net has started rejecting email.
Please advise.

Still no response from PlusNet.
I check my domain(s) and none of them is listed on any blacklist.
The outgoing test email has Subject:Test and a body containing "Test" but is still rejected.
Something odd going on at the relay end.

Me too! Starting this morning, all attempts to send from my own domain address through PN relay fail "due to spam or virus" though messages are simple plain text without attachments and domain apparently not blacklisted. No problem receiving, or sending from other addresses. Have spoken to helpful-seeming person who promised to pass details onto network support group. Will report results here.

Am getting the same thing today albeit on a mail address which (was on a website as a redirect - it no longer appears on the web) I no longer use (same domain as main email but different username) so I deleted to it from my email address list.
Someone is using (spoofing) that address to send spam.
Would be very interested to see if it's a PlusNet problem.

@rebtech, should be fixed now if you want to try again?
@Mardler, we'd need to know the domain name in order to look into it further. Probably best you raise a support ticket if you haven't done so already.

I'm having exactly the same problem, so its beginning to look like a more widespread problem.  I've raised a ticket, but it's a little annoying that it's apparently going to take 26+ hours for a response.

Now fixed, thanks PN. My domain apparently was matching a spam "fingerprint" though not blacklisted.

Is there any way we could get more information on what made my domain get on their "naughty list", as obviously I'd like to prevent it happening again on that, or any other of my domains.

Not easily no. Chances are a spammer was spoofing your email address and using it to send unsolicited messages. This is what your domain fell foul of if you fancy a bit of light reading Wink

I'm having this problem too. I raised a ticket (81772836) which had a disappointing response - "I've tested the server and you're able to send and receive there fine." - so clearly front-line support aren't aware of how to handle this error. Please could they be trained up a bit more? And please can you prod whatever necessary to fix the problem for me, as you've done for others?
