message rejected due to spam or virus

I have a domain which I regularly email but for some reason I regularly get bounce backs when replying to them.

 

552 message rejected due to spam or virus. If you believe this is in error please login to your portal or contact your ISP support team.

 

It seems that I can remove the prior messages and send, but this is quite inconvenient in terms of conversation history.

Browsing around the forum suggests that there are similar people with similar issues who are being told that this is something that PlusNet can resolve. 

My question is how do I go about making this happen.  From the conversation I had with support the feeling was that it wasn't their problem.
