mail.plus.net - Login Failed

Good Afternoon,

Issue started earlier today but using Thunderbird and POP3 I am getting a Mail Server error for mail.plus.net - Login failed when checking for new mail.

In the past I have used 212.159.8.81 or 212.159.9.81 instead of mail.plus.net as a work around, but I am still getting the same error.

It is intermittent but it does seem to be getting worse as the day goes on.

EDIT. I get the error on 2 computers and although I haven't changed anything lately in the setup I have re-added the mail boxes and the issue persists.

It isn't just you - I've had it on all four of my mailboxes from late afternoon. It may be a 'blip', but if it's still around tomorrow morning, I'll be ringing - got a few important ones on the way.

Looks like the blip has resolved itself at least for me so far for the last half hour.

Looking at my mail filters logs, it is still not right, it failed again at 1920, but worked at 1930.

A number of us have notice the intermittent issue. I’ve flagged it to support.

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
