hi sorry to bother you guys im trying to set up outlook express and failing misarable used the guide to help me but it dont want to have it....it comes up with a little box as if i was on dial up? im getting totally racked off

There may be other things to sort out with Outlook Express, but for the moment, to get rid of that little box, assuming you're using Internet Explorer -
Tools > Internet Options > Connections - select "Never dial a connection".

i have checked that internet explorer never dial a connection is ticked and cant use it so what im doing wrong i dont know but it took plusnet 4 attempts last time to do it and i have followed the step by step guide for outlook express still no joy

In Outlook Express, click Tools > Accounts, select the 'Mail' tab, highlight your email account, Click 'Properties', select the 'Connections' tab and ensure there isn't a tick under 'Always connect to this account using:', click 'OK', click 'Close' and then see if that's made any difference.
