freenetname - repeated Logon request for username/password

As of today (14:15) I am suddenly getting the Logon dialogue box requesting my username and password (already filled in),

when I click OK, it just displays again - I believe this is a known problem.... hopefully with a known solution?Huh

This is NOT a problem at my end, nothing has changed.

Thanks.

Re: freenetname - repeated Logon request for username/password

Rebooted what?

Rebooted the PC points to a PC problem.

Rebooted the router most likely points to having a dynamic IP address which has been abused previously and is black listed - getting a new external IP address will "mitigate" such failures.

Sorry, rebooted my laptop - running off a Vodafone dongle (mobile broadband).

Ah - Thank you!

Given the configuration described, I would suspect that rebooting the laptop will have cause the Vodaphone dongle to obtain a different IP address.

I have been mindful to write a diagnostic guide for this issue profile ... however by nature, it is technically detailed ... so not yet done.  Good to know that you are now working OK.
