empty message folders when using mobile phone but not laptop

On my mobile (Samsung S3 Android) I use the browser to log in to Webmail.  I sign in with username and password and get through to my inbox but it shows nothing - no messages, nor are there any messages in any of the other folders - or at least not visible.

I can log in on my pc and everything is where it should be (Windows 10) and also from my Amazon Kindle Fire so what am I doing wrong on my phone?  I used to be able to see my emails on webmail.  I am using madasafish through plusnet.  I would really welcome any help with this.

Are any of your other devices configured to operate as POP3 clients?

If yes, then you are not going to see anything "left" on the server and therefore accessing by webmail is going to show empty folders.

Fix

Thank you both for replying.

The answer (in case anyone else reads this) was very simple.  I just needed to enable java script and all the messages appeared.
