email settings for outlook.com

I am new to PlusNet and have been trying to set up my new email address on outlook.com for days now. It works fine on desktop outlook.
Has anyone managed to do this?
Below are the settings I have used (besides trying all other ports as well).
When I click on next, the page gets stuck on “Setting up your account...”
What am I doing wrong?
I am grateful for any help.

Incoming (POP3) server information
mail.plus.net
Port 995
NO    Requires a secure connection (SSL)
YES  Leave a copy of messages on the server
Outgoing (SMTP) server information
relay.plus.net
Port 25
NO    Requires a secure connection (SSL/TLS)
YES  Use the same username and password to send and receive emails

If it works fine on desktop Outlook what environment are you trying to set it up in where it doesn't work? You haven't bothered to explain that.

The incoming port number for mail.plus.net needs to be 110.

It wasn't the case of not been bothered to explain, just didn't think about it, sorry 
I am using a laptop with windows 8.1 as OS.

Incoming port number 110 seems to have done the trick though, thank you.
