Ive just joineed Plusnet. I cant sent e-mails. I receive them OK though. Plz Help.

Have you changed the outgoing mail settings of your email program to that needed to work on the Plusnet server

I've tried a few different things but have just totally confused myself. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer as far as this is concerned. I feel as though I wished I hadnt swopped to Plusnet. It seems alot or trouble when you don't know what you are doing. I padi someone £30.00 to try and sort it out but its still not right. The money I will have saved changing to Plustnet has already been lost.

In which case from here http://www.plus.net/support/email/setup/outlook_express_setup.shtml
Can you check the following

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server is relay.plus.net
Are the account name and password correct - note that the account name is the Plusnet account name not the mailbox name or your previous account name and password
Is the Logon using Secure Password Authentication unticked
Can you check the following

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server is relay.plus.net

Is the Logon using Secure Password Authentication unticked

ive tried this umpteens times and all I get "the installation could not continue. You must be connected to the internet to install Plusnet Assist. But I've been connected to the Internet every time I've tried it.

Ignore Plusnet Assist
Open Outlook Express
Click on Tools
Then Accounts
Click on your email account
Select Properties the Server
You should see something like this
And this is where you put in relay.plus.net as the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server
Note this is from a Plusnet Mailbox - your incoming mail will be different
