When I reply to daughter's email it gets through but...

not if I originate one to her. We are both Plusnetters
Here is the message source of one that did not get through. Personal details are disguised.

My daughter uses Plusnet web-mail to send messages, so could that have a bearing? There is some difference in the source details as in that originated by me the To: suzanne@hers.plus.com, but the reply one
To: hers+sue <sue@hers.plus.com>
I very much doubt she has email set up to black hole emails addressed to random names in her domain, and all other details are correct. I'm mystified! Ideas anyone?
Also noticed, as a side matter, that one message's encoding is 8 bit and the other 7 bit. Can anybody tell me why?
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: When I reply to daughter's email it gets through but...

The obvious question is what happens if you originate an email addressed to 'sue@..' rather then 'suzanne@...'?

Re: When I reply to daughter's email it gets through but...

I'm probably wrong Shocked but I did not think "hers+sue" had a catchall, unlike "hers" (the main e-mail). The effect being that:
sue@...  goes to "hers+sue"
hers@...  goes to "hers"
anything.else@...  goes to the "catchall" (default "hers" or whichever mailbox is explicitly defined as the "catchall") or dropped if no "catchall"

Re: When I reply to daughter's email it gets through but...

I have sent emails with several variations of address to her and am waiting to see what gets through to the main computer and/ or any app, e.g mobile or tablet.
