What are banned file extensions in email

Just received this

Dear Plusnet Customer,

You are receiving this mail because you have an active virus-scanning service, and either a banned file extension or an email containing a virus has been sent to your address.

This may be relevant

The mail was sent to you from:

* <vm@unlimitedhorizon.co.uk>

The subject line of the mail received was:

* [-SPAM-] Voice Message Attached from 01258893964 - name unavailable

Not objecting to it being quarantined because it is at least spam

I got the exact same email sent to my 'leaked from the PUG space' email address.

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Where did they get the email address from?

Sounds like phishing emails to me, probably worth deleting them.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
