Webmail

Hi all.
Does anyone know where the webmail tab has moved to.  It`s no longer on the home page!!! What has p/net moved it for.  Where do I log in now? I`m sure a few of us have the same problem.  Angry

Re: Webmail

I am not sure if things have changed - I don't remember it being on the home page
From the home page http://www.plus.net/?home=hometop  click on Member Centre which takes you to https://portal.plus.net/index_nlp.html and it on the left hand menu and the top menu bar even when not logged in

Re: Webmail

There is a "webmail" link at the bottom of the http://www.plus.net page (in the "Member Centre" list of links)

Re: Webmail

Yes, It's on the bottom, It used to be in the top NAV bar (Near where it says Business Broadband now) before they changed it.
You can also use http://webmail.plus.net to get there directly - Perhaps make a bookmark or something?

Re: Webmail

Yes I have noticed this anomaly in the webmail link heading recently. I found that going via Member tab put things right after I logged in. I get on via Firefox which now gives a few recently used addresses, one of which is PN. The other oddity is that when I do get on my opening PN page has "business broadband" as a heading. I am on an ancient ADSL 8Meg 4GB a month residential account  and certainly do not aspire to go to a business one!.

Re: Webmail

The removal of the Webmail hyperlink from the main Website was intentional. As others have alluded to, you can use the link in the footer of the homepage, the link in the member centre or simply browse to webmail.plus.net directly.

Re: Webmail

I have got round this problem through the use of FFox Home page. This comes up  with an opening array of recently used site addresses which can be clicked on as required. I have my router data page, and various PN offerings including the Member page. This retains a tab for Webmail in its proper place and gives you immediate access to the log-in tab when clicked. This certainly avoids the need to find (or remember to find) a link to Webmail in strange places on pages you do not usually need.

Re: Webmail

I tend to add items to the FF/Palemoon bookmarks toolbar, grouping like items as subfolders (network = plusnet, router, modem etc).

Re: Webmail

Strikes me the easiest solution is merely to put a shortcut on the FF (or Chrome) Bookmarks bar - it's then available immediately from whatever page you're looking at - no need to go back to the start page. I have two - the first for webmail, the second for usage. Some people may not realise that in FF and Chrome you can edit out all the text in a bookmark leaving just the favicon logo.

@Pee Gee,
Yes you are quite right, got enough on my plate to play with sig right now. I did not realise that folks took much notice of sigs!
