Webmail stopped working - Roundcube error??

When I try to log on to Webmail I get a 'Roundcube' message:

DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!

Unable to connect to the database!
Please contact your server-administrator.

All was ok until about an hour or so ago.
