Webmail seems to have gone off the boil?

I use emails very frequently and without much trouble. Today I have found that inserting addressees by using the first few letters, Roundcube (or my machine) seem to have got amnesia by ignoring to give the full email address. ie Using "Mike" to select one of a half a dozen with that name first in the Address Book is simply ignored. The Address book itself is quite normal. All very queer! Any ideas?
