Webmail is very slow this morning

Suddenly just before 10.30 this morning webmail slowed to a right crawl. I logged off and back on again but that took several minutes and clicking on Deleted Items has caused it to hang for several minutes more - certainly while I've accessed the forum and written this report. It was working fine earlier but now seems to have stopped completely.
No matter - I'll go out for a walk in the sunshine!
XPSP3 accessing RC webmail via Vodafone dongle - other websites operating normally so it's not my connection.
EDIT - just after posting I got thrown out completely.

The mail collection servers are all under heavy load. We spotted this earlier on and have had to carry out an emergency storage takeover. You're likely to encounter problems whilst this work is being carried out. It shouldn't take long though ...

Where 'should' is the operative word 'cos it's not very stable right now.  I'm geting:
"Connection to IMAP server failed!"
or if I do get in I'm immediately dumped out with:
"Your session is invalid or expired"
stuck

Could be something to do with this. We moved part of the outbound mail platform to a new data centre this morning. There were some problems sending mail this morning that should have been resolved during the last 5-10 minutes or so (ref: 73123). Are things any better for you now?

Had a complete failure to send an email to Anotherone an hour ago, system said "Connecting" but never did. Second attempt seems to have gone now but my original text has disappeared into cyber space, all my eloquence wasted?

For info RC webmail slowed to almost a complete halt around 6.30pm lasting for around 15 minutes. I'd sent an email just before that but had 15 minutes of trouble trying to switch to Sent Items to move it into Inbox to download. It was either at a complete halt or I was actually thrown off. I tried both up-to-date FF and Chrome (under XPSP3). Then it suddenly righted itself and is now fine. Other websites were working fine throughout which suggests it was an RC issue.
EDIT - two or three emails which I thought I'd deleted had also reappeared in my Inbox.

Webmail a bit soggy this afternoon, taking ages to load and do things thereafter. very odd. Tried to send a FWD to many and it decided to only send part of the text, which was displayed in black type, the rest was in blue type and lost, any clue there. Hit the time out when trying to resend with the missing text as an attachment. All very frustrating.
