Virus email .doc attachment

Am I the only one getting dozens of spam/virus emails with a .doc attachment?
They come in the form of a bill from random people who I don't know.
These have a macro built into the .doc file... to do what, I don't know.
Is there any way these can be blocked?

No you are not but mine end up in Webmail's Junk folder so I don't receive them to my Inbox.

You can report things of this nature to Action Fraud (http://actionfraud.police.uk/), the UK's national centre for reporting financially motivated internet crime. Follow the red-button link on the right-hand side of the page.
The report will conclude by asking you to forward a copy of the email to an official address; forward the email as an attachment so that the headers are retained. Typically this is done by right-clicking the subject line in the messages list and selecting forward->as attachment.
