I use metronet email and when I installed a VPN I couldn't send emails. The VPN guys gave me some code, servers settings, to add to their code and all worked. I have now added Plusnet email to my artillary, with view to ending my Metronet email, and I have the same problem again, can't send email from the plusnet email.
I have found these settings:
To set standard DNS server addressesTo set alternative DNS server addressesTo set Plusnet Safeguard DNS server addresses
Primary | 212.159.13.49 |
Secondary | 212.159.13.50 |
Primary | 212.159.6.9 |
Secondary | 212.159.6.10 |
Primary | 213.120.234.42 |
Secondary | 213.120.234.42 |
The Metronet code mentioned above comprises four lines, is it the top four I need for Plusnet or all six? Or are they the incorrect settings? If so where do I find the correct code?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

You will need to set SMTP authentication when sending via the VPN
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Thank you for your input, but that doesn't fix it!

I have fixed the problem. In addition to the suggestion received earlier it also required
route 212.159.13.49 255.255.255.255 net_gateway
route 212.159.13.50 255.255.255.255 net_gateway
route 212.159.6.9 255.255.255.255 net_gateway
route 212.159.6.10 255.255.255.255 net_gateway
to be inserted in the .ovpn folder.
It all works ago now.
