Unable to set up email on mobile phone - android

Unable to set up my email accounts on new mobile.  Getting error messages "unable to connect to POP3/SMPT server", or "POP3/SMPT is disabled"

 

None of the online advice is helping.  Store cant help

 

Credentials are correct.

 

Any advice?

Hello @karencraig,

 

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue with using an email client. Can you advice if you are using just the one device to view your emails on?

 

If not can you PM us a screen shot of the settings you are using as it may be that the issue you are having is that the server settings are for IMAP and you have selected POP3.

Thank you for replying.

 

i fixed it. It was the email app, two devices, same model.  I'd posted here incase anyone else had had similar. If anyone else reports same, use a more up to date app is the fix.
