@bobpullen OK Bob, Thanks for your time and input on this...
For me, as mentioned in the intro... it`s not a "must do now" can`t send emails, thing... as someone mentioned I can change the "from" or "send" address, or simply start a new outgoing email from my gmail address, but the system is supposed to be "simple" to operate, by just clicking "Reply to sender" and all should be hunky dory,..
Will consider this thread to be
"PENDING FURTHER INVESTIGATION!"
for the time being. and await an update from you, or whoever, clears up the problem

You okay for NetOps to change your mailbox password to try to replicate the problem?
