Unable to send email?

Had no problem with sending and receiving email until Wednesday.  Now I can only receive email, but cannot send.  I get the following error message "Sending reported error 0x8004210B: the operation timed out waiting for a response from sending SMTP server".  I am using Outlook 365.

I am not sure why it has suddenly failed?  Please advise.  Thanks.

Re: Unable to send email?

Yes I am getting the same error using Thunderbird

"Sending of the message failed.
The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) relay.plus.net timed out. Try again."

Try increasing the server time out to 90 seconds.

Deleted account and set it up again and now working.  Not sure why one day it is working and the next day no longer working.

Re: Unable to send email?

A multitude of reasons from outlook being confused to network issues … as subtle as what IP address you are using.
