Hi. I’m tearing my hair out! Since Greenby took over I have had endless problems.
1. I try to use Madasafish webmail. Log in failed.
2. I try to get my email through outlook. Until a few weeks ago this was fine now the previous IMAP settings, username, password are not recognised.
3. Greenby website……account details not recognised, try again.
4. Greenby round cube webmail …..log in failed
What’s going on? Any help would be appreciated.

Email server : mail.madasafish.com has Plusnet IPs it does not appear to be migrated.
Plusnet email admin is found at : https://www.plus.net/manage_my_mail/
this is part of the Plusnet Members Center.

@leopard99 do you have a Plusnet broadband account as well as the madasafish email account ?
Like @PhilipHeyes I didnt think that madasfish accounts had been migrated ?
I suspect the email you received refrerred to the email address associated with your PLusnet account

I appreciate you all taking the time to respond. I’m now able to logon to Madasafish/plusnet webmail which is better than nothing.
I would like to go back to getting my email through Outlook. This just stopped working some weeks ago. Could you confirm the settings please? I’m not IT literate so an idiots step by step would be helpful. Thanks again.
I found this….but it’s not worked.

@leopard99 those are the correct settings although the SMTP should use port 587. You should have encryption set to none
Can you try the email connection diagnostics here please https://community.plus.net/t5/Email/Diagnosing-email-server-connectivity-issues-the-guide/m-p/200795...

You dont!
having got those curl commands, you run those as described in the diagnostics link
If you're using windows , then you open a windows powershell and paste the commands in one at a time. The command will prompt you for your password, then will enter a dialog with the mail server and report any error.

curl -v imap://mail.globalnet.co.uk
when using windows powershell you need to use curl.exe or the command will fail.
which email brand are you trying to setup in Outlook yourname@ ????? (madasafish, plusnet or ?)
Outlook for Windows or MAC OS or ?

These are the required settings
Brand: Globalnet
Preferred userID: Address
Encryption supported: No
IMAP: mail.globalnet.co.uk port: 143
POP3: mail.globalnet.co.uk port: 110
SMTP: smtpmail.globalnet.co.uk port: 587
You would either use IMAP or POP3, if it was working previously then I doubt Encryption is enabled.
Have you updated your iPad recently? some updates have caused issues with email apps. Have you looked for support from Apple on this issue?
I usually attempt to recreate issues, as I only use Android phone and tablet products, I am unable to here.
