Spam Protection from General Spam and Viruses?

Hi Guys,
Does Plus Net have any form of spam and anti-virus protection enabled on the Force 9 Incoming Mail servers?
I am continually receiving messages that are obviously spam, from the same SMTP domain - which I need to mark individually as Spam within the web interface?  I am also getting e-mails with Microsoft Word attachments that have viruses contained within.  So I am wondering what forms of security protection is currently in operation?
I use a mixture of clients - Microsoft Outlook 2011 on OS X 10.11.3 and Microsoft Outlook 2016 on Windows 10.  And I am seeing Windows Defender continually detect and delete virus infected attachments that I don't manage to delete within the Web Interface system.  Therefore it appears that there is no form of protection enabled?
Would you be able to let me know what is enabled for customers?

Hi Neil,
Both spam and virus filtering is enabled for your email address. You can see this in the spam tab here.
The solution we're using is courtesy of these folk.

Thank you for the reply on this and the information, very much appreciated.
I have just logged in to see what was set up on my accounts and the domains within it.  When I logged in for the first time, I could see that the settings were enabled, but they don't seem to working as;

• I had setting that prefixes any e-mails identified as spam with '[-SPAM-], enabled - which is effective


• the setting to move identified spam e-mails that are marked as such to be moves to the Spam folder - but these aren't being


• the setting to scanning of e-mails with virus was enabled - but I've been getting infected e-mails come through

I realise that no anti-virus solution is 100% secure, but I've had five infected e-mails through in the last week.  So I was wondering if the patterns are up to date?
I have also increased the aggressiveness of the spam filter from the default 1 to 3, to see if it improves my situation.
I'll keep an eye on these and have a play with the settings, as needed.

They should be fine. Bear in mind that you have three domains associated with your email address and the spam/virus settings for each are managed separately via the drop-down towards the top of the Spam tab in Manage My Mail.
The headers of a received email will tell you whether or not the message has passed through our security filters. In particular, the bits in bold:

I have just reapplied the settings to all of the domains, to see what happens.  Today is the first time, that I have made any changes here...
However, both Windows Defender and McAfee VirusScan (which is on another Windows laptop, running Windows 7 that I use) has picked up infections on e-mails that I have received through my Force 9 e-mail domain 'muzik.force9.co.uk' this week...
I'll see how it goes...

Just checked DNS for that domain. The MX record shows routing through the spam protection appliances.
