Sending emails from Windows Phone 8

I'm trying to configure a Nokia 520 Windows Phone 8 to send on a plus.com email account. I've got receiving OK, but send gives an error.
I've found some reference to the "Don't use SSL" not working properly on the phone. Does plus.com support SSL SMTP at all?
Alternatively, has anyone managed to configure this, and are there any tricks to it?

PlusNet does not support SSL at this time.
Your title needs changing you hav: "Sending emails from Widows Phone 8" it should be: "Sending emails from Windows Phone 8"

Hi,
Have you configured the SMTP server to use port 587 and supplied your PN user name and password in the authentication details?
If configured this way, sending emails using relay.plus.net should work both via wifi at home and out and about over 3G.
