Samsung Galaxy E-mail settings

I am new to Plusnet and so far I am very pleased with my new package but I am having great difficulty setting up my android 'phone (Samsung Galaxy S2 on Ice Cream) with an e-mail account for my Plusnet address.,
What settings do I need to put in? I know that the SMTP setting  is port 25, but after that I am stuck. I have tried so many times that I am now thoroughly fed up.
Is there any other advice/guidance. I am going on holiday (in the UK) soon and I would like to be able to access my mail without working my way through webmail on a very small screen.
Please bear in mind that whilst I love new technology  I am over 70, so please don' t get geeky.  Smiley
Thanks in advance.

Re: Samsung Galaxy E-mail settings

Hi there,
If you visit our email settings page here: https://www.plus.net/support/email/setup/index.shtml
And in the top right click 'I just want to see the email settings' it should tell you everything you need to know Smiley Please let us know if not.

Re: Samsung Galaxy E-mail settings

Sad I have tried again and again and still no joy.
Why don't you get one of the staff at Plusnet who uses a Samsung Galaxy S2 to give me some advice on the settings. The screens on the 'phone ask for a lot more than is described on the "help" page on your website.
Yours (nearly in despair)

Go into applications and select email. Touch the left hand button at the bottom of the screen and on the pop-up menu touch 'more'. Another menu pops up and select Account settings.
You should then be able to enter your Plusnet account details and server settings to complete the operation.
On the server settings I've used:  incoming server settings POP3 server mail.plus.net using port 110 and outgoing server setting relay.plus.net using port 25.
Hope this helps.

You can find your PlusNet email settings here

If you use the settings on this page here: http://www.plus.net/support/email/setup/ (click at the top of the page where it says 'I just want to see the email settings')

Hope that helps
