SMTP Server Issues

Hi,

I'm aware there's an ongoing issue with email but do we have any timescale for resolution? I use IMAP and incoming mail to my iPhone is fine but I can't send email from my plusnet domain unless I'm at home or the office using a plusnet connection. I have my devices set to use password authentication for relay.plus.net but this is no longer working. My email is critical to my business and at the moment I'm having to send replies or new emails using my personal iCloud account, not very professional! Please can we get a fix for this as soon as possible.

Have you tried webmail rather than iCloud?

Webmail is not an option on an iPhone SE screen! I have my plusnet mail set up using IMAP in iOS Mail (I also use it on my Macbook Pro and iMac) and up until a few days ago it was working fine. Now it will only send mail when connected via plusnet, so the SMTP password authentication is broken somewhere (see attachment).

At the moment when I'm out and about I have reply using my iCloud email address which is not ideal as it isn't coming from my business domain email address.

It's possible that whoever you're connecting through is blocking port 25 if not their service, can you try updating the port for sending email to 587?

Hi, I'm using 587 already (see attachment). It doesn't matter where I'm connecting from, it no longer works unless I'm on a plusnet connection.

And this is via a paid account? Not a free PAYG one?

Yes, paid account, but it doesn't work on mobile data or non plusnet Wi-Fi and it did up until a few days ago. I had my Macbook out on site yesterday using a Wi-Fi service and it couldn't send through relay.plus.net either (It has the same SMTP authentication settings as my phone).

I can't actually say what day it stopped working. I sent an email to a client on Wednesday morning from my phone and he didn't receive it until the evening, so it only sent when I got home on a plusnet connection.
