Re: Extremely poor webmail service from Plusnet

@Strat From time to time I get this but a refresh normally corrects it but in your case it sounds like you're downloading them again.

TBH the service hasn't been great for a while now. It went through a short period of being OK and I did stupidly think that PN had resolved it.

@Kelly used to provide regular updates and feedback but I haven't seen anything from him in recent times so maybe he's come to the conclusion that it's a lost cause.

Re: Extremely poor webmail service from Plusnet

I may well have had this before, it's the nature of the beast but as far back as I can reliably remember I can't recall an instance.

Webmail speed

I have a major problem with webmail on my iMac and my iPad. Logging on is OK and the initial page of the inbox loads up fairly quickly (given my 1.8Mb/s download speed). However when I page through the inbox or move to another mailbox or move messages to another mailbox or mark messages as deleted the speed gets slower and slower and eventually stops altogether.

Ipad is running Safari, iMac has both Safari and Firefox and the effect is the same on both.

Re: Webmail speed

This reply makes no sense to me, can anyone answer my question?

Re: Webmail speed

@tynllwyn

You had started a new thread on the same subject so, rather than have two separate threads, I merged them.

Re: Webmail speed

@tynllwyn The cause of the problem you described is that webmail in general is performing poorly. What you are seeing is not particular to your devices. Plusnet are working on this and email in its broader sense behind the scenes, but it's a while since anything was said in these forums.

Time for them to provide an update on the new service status tool. Angel

Re: Webmail speed

It actually goes back further than that - 11th May 2016 - when I opened another thread "Webmail - Extremely Slow" and today I am still experiencing the same issues!

I have been trying to arrange an anniversary party but I can't access Webmail long enough to compose and send the invitations Grin

Re: Webmail speed

It's been quiet here for a while. Funny

I'm getting Server error FETCH 1:* ... at the moment logging in with a Force9 username. Anyone else affected?
