£1.06 - I'll look forward to that.

In fact, in 2010 I could have bought 20 bitcoin with that saving!

@bazzer Looking on the bright side, you could have bought a cheap pair of jeans or one leg of a more expensive pair!

Re: Extremely poor webmail service from Plusnet

I left Plusnet after many years of being a satisfied customer due to moving to a property where broadband above 1.5meg was not other than through Virgin.  I did choose however to pay for my email service as I wanted to keep my subdomain and catch all email address.

For many months now, downloading emails to an email application has been a hit or miss affair and I have had to resort to using the webmail client.  Unfortunately, the webmail client is unusable as it is constantly timing out and displaying errors or just doesn't load anything.  The irony is that tech support always says "it loads perfectly fine for us".  I am glad to have discovered this thread to know I am not alone.

Given I am paying for the email service, it is getting beyond a joke.

Re: Extremely poor webmail service from Plusnet

It's just taken me 3 hrs to empty my junk & delete folders. I know the more there are to delete the slower PN web mail is but I'm seriously going to have to look at moving my email away. PNs webmail is painful and is getting worse!

Re: Extremely poor webmail service from Plusnet

@Mayfly  don't move your Email , as that is what PN wants so they don't have to put much resources in to fix it

Re: Extremely poor webmail service from Plusnet

@Mayfly

Having followed this thread since almost the beginning when I was still (wearing short trousers), it seems painfully obvious that whatever Plusnet tell us about this issue they aren't doing diddly squat to fix it.

If you're considering moving email why not go the whole hog and find a new ISP who can provide you with a proper experience?

Plusnet have muddled through and under performed for ages and when you're paying for a service which you're not getting why bother continuing? Just a thought anyway..., I'm sure SOME people won't agree, they rarely do. Shocked

No reason why you can't send some bulk email to a testbox in your email...

But move important email to your PC - and take frequent back-ups.

I've just tried both of my accounts and its working for me without issue @rongtw. From clicking login to a loaded inbox view it is only about 3 seconds.

Re: Extremely poor webmail service from Plusnet

I've just tried my Force9 login.

3 minutes and counting and it's not left the login screen with the loading icon spinning.

Just checked and it's given up with no error message. I'll try again.

Second time straight through the login then 65 seconds to populate my 459 message inbox.

Re: Extremely poor webmail service from Plusnet

Oh dear what have you done Plusnet.

I did a check of my webmail as detailed above and as usual it was poor.

However I have just had a look at my Outlook and there are over 400 'new' emails in there dating back to the 24th of January this year which to the best of my knowledge I have already received and dealt with.

Note that this morning when I fired up my PC I had around a dozen 'new' emails, mostly junk which I dealt with.

@Kelly might be interested.
