As for the future of this board after everything has gone to Greenby, I doubt it will last long.  It will not be Plusnet’s responsibility.  I envisage that it will remain for a short period to deal with early life gremlins.  Greenby appears to have minimal customer engagement - everything is AI fronted.  They have been invited to engage here, but that invitation does not appear to have been taken up,

I suspected as much - there will not be the need for it. It is though, disconcerting that Greenby rely on AI response - I appreciate that AI is improving, but my experience (minimal, as I  don't trust it) is that it is flawed - if your question is not extremely well crafted, you are likely to not receive a relevant answer.

Thanks @Townman

Do you suspect just the Email section of the forum will close quite quickly - or the whole forum. There'splots of stuff about broadband on the site too - and Plusnet Broadband will be with us (at least for a while) won't it?

As many of us expected, it sounds as if Greenby customer service will be somewhere between a nightmare andon-existent.

I suspect Greenby will lose most of their new customers which will be (a) very sad for us PN loyalists and (b) a b**y nuisance as changing email addresses is quite an undertaking if you have 600-plus names and businesses in your Contacts.

Remember that AI is not really intelligent, it does not reason, it does cleaver pattern matching and then hops what it finds (provided by fleshware) is relevant without flaw.  We know so well how humans can get the context wrong and also deliver wrong answers from flawed sources.

PlusNETs how to configure email servers is a good illustration of this.

@PeterB1

Only the mail board.  I expect that it will wither slowly with age and non-use.  I would not anticipate Plusnet engagement in the space.

As for one's own email future, if @*.plus.com has been used, then one is stuck with staying with the service or planning a long-game exit strategy.  If I were faced with that, I would obtain a personal domain name and host that with Greenby: I expect that such will work the same there as here, the personal domain name overlays the Plusnet domain name.

You can then advise folks of the alternative email address, although it will be delivered to the same place ... and you've two years free service o failitate that.

...but we wander way off the topic of this thread.
