Re: Problem with SMTP/POP servers?

That was one of my problems yesterday, @Anonymous , but not today - and my sending no longer times out.

Re: Problem with SMTP/POP servers?

IMAP has been very slow for me since yesterday evening. It's terrible right now.

@southerner, glad I'm not the only one experiencing this.

Re: Problem with SMTP/POP servers?

We've some lingering issues from that change yesterday which is probably causing the slow down for pop and imap.  It's only happening on half of the platform though which is why some people are seeing it slow vs other people seeing it fine.  We're working on it.

Re: Problem with SMTP/POP servers?

@Kelly Still not fully resolved - 'connecting to server' and 'sending login information' still both taking ~10 seconds to complete. Sad

@jab1 oh, just so I'm clear, this is high priority and we have people actively working on it Smiley

Re: Problem with SMTP/POP servers?

Indeed. IMAP is still taking an age to do anything.

Re: Problem with SMTP/POP servers?

IMAP is so slow that the iPads time out and request the account to be reconfirmed. Hardly useable. On the PC several minutes to complete an IMAP refresh.

Don’t understand why PN continually have such problems with email serving. Been nearly a week now!

Re: Problem with SMTP/POP servers?

Since 16.15 hours today I cannot download emails to my mobile phones. Message says to check email settings as they cannot be downloaded from the server.

Emails can be downloaded via MS Outlook package on laptop without a problem

Plus Net - please resolve soonest as this is not helpful !

But today an almost miraculous improvement and the mail server is responding at more like its normal speed again.

Hurrah!

@quelquod Yes, it does seem to be working properly this afternoon after throwing up loads of errors mid to late morning.

Re: Problem with SMTP/POP servers?

My IMAP's still not right.
I keep getting deleted stuff reappearing, stuff from yesterday & new mail only seems to come through in clumps.
