Re: Plusnet server on Trend blacklist

Yup just had the same  Cry Cry Cry  Different IP address but exactly the same reason. Looks like it will only be a problem with recipients who use the trend micro filtering on their incoming mail but still a pain.
Now I need to find another route to send the message until Plusnet are able to fix it!

Re: Plusnet server on Trend blacklist

... the MAPS entry (?) at http://www.mail-abuse.com/cgi-bin/show_listing.cgi?5188052 shows that abuse@plus.net were sent a notification on Fri, 4 May 2012 at 01:48:07.
I raised a ticket yesterday and was told that they "appear to have noticed 2 examples at present", then told they had requested RBL removal at 16:40 yesterday and to allow at least 24 hours then retest.
Do Plusnet ignore messages from what would seem to be major black lists(Trend Micro in this case)?
OK, not expecting instantaneous reactions, but four days?

Re: Plusnet server on Trend blacklist

Emails to some universities are being blocked because Plusnet's server is listed with listed at rbl-plus.mail-abuse.ja.net
Possibly JANET subscribe to Trend?
This is yesterday and today. Not good...

Also a problem here - Blocked IP is 84.93.230.250.  Is PlusNet looking at it?

Re: Plusnet server on Trend blacklist

Thanks James.
For anyone else having problems, I used "Free SMTP Server" from http://www.softstack.com to re-send the problem email.  This allows the black-listed PlusNet servers to be bypassed.

Re: Plusnet server on Trend blacklist

A message sent yesterday afternoon to an 'almost daily' correspondent has bounced this morning with -
Final-recipient: RFC822; xxx@yyy.org.uk
Disposition: automatic-action/MDN-sent-automatically; deleted
X-MSExch-Correlation-Key: akL98XWYIk+gL/SeroWmKg==
X-Display-Name: xxxx xxxx
Is this likely to be due to the problem being discussed in this thread?

Possibly, we've requested removal and are chasing them up today.

Re: Plusnet server on Trend blacklist

Glad you're "on the case" I've had customers and people I've referred phoning me about this!
The NHS blocks are a particular problem.  Cry
