Plusnet assist

I am repeatedly getting a pop up window from Plusnet Assist saying I have an email issue,after checking it says no fault found.
Why does this happen and can I stop it.

Plusnet Assist will popup an e-mail error prompt if you try to access your email programme before your computer has fully booted up or returned from sleep mode.
I make sure that my internet access is shown as enabled (via the taskbar icon) before I click on to my email programme.
Simples!
I don't agree that Plusnet Assist is rubbish -  it can be very useful at times.
