PN your webmail is not fit for purpose!

I'm sorry I know there have been loads of threads about this and I don't normally complain but your webmail set up is utter rubbish and you should be ashamed to be associated with it!

21 emails from regular contacts have gone into the junk folder this week (never had a problem before and have been using it since 2009) even from some in the address list, which by the way I have just updated to hopefully alleviate some of the problem later on and I'm having to log out in between entering each contact because it just gets caught in loop of 'loading'. It is usually painfully slow but this afternoon for me is almost impossible to use.

When oh when will it be sorted?

Re: PN your webmail is not fit for purpose!

Plusnet's email service is also not fit for purpose due to the lack of security. They don't provide encryption so not only your emails but also your account password are sent in plain text over the internet.

Until Plusnet decide to take security seriously (which they are showing no signs of doing), do yourself a favour and switch to a decent and secure email service such as Outlook.com or gmail.

Re: PN your webmail is not fit for purpose!

Can someone tell me how to stop emails being sent to spam please even tho' the addressee is in the address book. I can't seem to find any settings for it and the email guide isn't any help.

Re: PN your webmail is not fit for purpose!

Fix
You can set email addresses or domains in the allow & block list, spam tab, in the Manage My Mail section of the PlusNet Members centre. I don't know if they are still being implemented there nowadays but can't help to try it at least.
That's RPM to you!!

Ahhh thank you I was looking for the spam tab in email not the members section.

Re: PN your webmail is not fit for purpose!

I thought this had solved my problem but alas NO.

Why does an email from someone who is in my white list of approved addresses go into the spam box when all they have done is reply to a message I have instigated. No links, no attachments just a straight reply.

This is doing my head in PN.

Re: PN your webmail is not fit for purpose!

You need to look in the message headers to see if the reply to or any other addresses in the header are different to the from header. If so try whitelisting those addresses.

Re: PN your webmail is not fit for purpose!

I didn't mean there were other recipients but that in the headers there could be a different email address for the sender. If you open the email in webmail then select Show source from the More actions menu (the cogwheel icon) you'll see the full headers which look something like this:

You need to whitelist whatever it says for Return-path if it is different to the email address you see as the sender. There could also be a Reply-to header which you could also try.
