Thanks for getting back to me @hocking24

I'm really sorry I've not been able to call yet and thanks for the heads up.

Shall we say at 4:45pm?

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Outlook issues since recent service issue

Cheers again for your time on the phone @hocking24

I'm glad to hear your mother's e-mails are now setup & working on Outlook.

I've dropped you a couple of e-mails under the ticket ref's 221998518 and 221961598, but to briefly explain the issue here in case there's anyone else who may have the same issue in the future. It looks like bizarrely the issue was to do with the f9.co.uk ending to the e-mail address, because using force9.co.uk instead worked first time.

If you have further issues or there's anything else you need help with, feel free to get back to me and I'll be happy to help. Smiley

Re: Outlook issues since recent service issue

Thank you very much for your help!

Very peculiar that it just decided that we needed to update from "f9" to "force9" for the login after all these years, but hey ho, all sorted now which is the main thing.

Thanks again

No problem at all @hocking24

Re: Outlook issues since recent service issue

As mentioned earlier, I was able to set up a F9 POP3 client in Outlook. Following recommendations I have now set up a Force9 client. Both clients access the same account on the Force 9 server. There is a difference though, F9 client has a f9.co.uk email address and Force9 client has a force9.co.uk email address, emails sent to either address go back to the same server.  Also each email client creates it's own PST file. Can't prove it using Outlook 365  but I believe the problem is the SMTP authentication, username is not necessarily the same as the email login username.  Will investigate further ....

Re: Outlook issues since recent service issue

Using Outlook 2010, which requires SMTP authentication, it will only accept force9.co.uk details for a f9.co.uk email address.
