The messages while doing a "Test Account" in Outlook account
Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
Send test e-mail message: The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
The account is on 1&1 - I went there first, they said its not their problem but once the authentication stuff is removed from the "More settings" tab [within the advanced section] there is no problem. [uncheck the "this server requires encrypted connection" and change "use the following type of encrypted connection" from TLS to nine]
This has been working for MANY years! :>) It worked this morning.
PLEASE any ideas folk
Mike

Hi Mike,
Not sure I understand what the problem is? You say the test message functionality fails but then go on to say everything works as expected when you disable SSL/TLS
Are you trying to get things working with SSL/TLS enabled?
