Outlook 2016/365 Subscription not syncing to Outlook.com

I am trying to set up my PlusNet email accounts so they sync with outlook desktop and outlook.com on all my devices.
I have done some research on this subject and apparently, I need to set up an “Exchange Active Synch” account.
I need the “mail server setting” for that.

I am using my PlusNet email addresses.
Will an "Exchange Active Synch” account work with non .....@outlook.com addresses?

maybe it only works with ......@outlook.com email addresses???
