It means just reply to the thread. 

'Bumping' comes from how a new reply on a thread makes it float to the top of lists so it can be seen.  It's usually a frowned upon but I've asked you to do it so we make sure you get the help you need.

https://www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money might be useful to you if Plusnet don't compensate you for the extra expense you incurred due to their errors and bad advice.

Many thanks for that advice and insight, jelv. I am a relative newbie (3.5 years) and I have noted a drop off in customer service and technical support - although I have had no problem with my BB service over this time. I intend to wait a couple or so more days before getting totally annoyed and doing something about it.
