New IMAP account has made Webmail too large

I recently set up a new PC with Office professional plus 2016.

On my last PC, Outlook downloaded the emails from the Plusnet server and left them on there for a certain amount of time.

When I looked at Webmail there was just one inbox with no subfolders.

As I access emails on my PC and iPhone/iPad I set up an IMAP account on my new PC.

My webmail now has all the subfolders from Outlook and is over 2GB and Plusnet say it is too big and want it reduced but if I reduce the webmail the emails delete from Outlook.

Any help to resolve this gratefully received.
