Need help since going over to Greenby

I’m not very good with technology and I’m completely on my own with no one to help so I need some help in simple terms. On Wednesday my emails were moved over to Greenby and then the ones for the account that I use stopped coming through to my iPad. The occasional one for a different user comes through but not mine.
I have spent the last three days trying to get help from Greenby but all they do is sent me cut and pasted instructions written in some kind of code that I don’t understand. I have explained over and over again but they don’t help me and I’m getting very upset as I haven’t received emails since Tuesday and I don’t know how to do the things that they keep saying to do. Plusnet won’t help. Greenby said that they would ring to help but haven’t done so.
I don’t understand why the ones to a different name come through but mine don’t

I am an F9 customer and only have an iPad

Can any one give me extremely simple steps to sort this. I am extremely frustrated and don’t how I will ever get this sorted

Thank you

Hello @Noidea , welcome to the forums Smiley

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time with the migration - like you I struggle with the technology stuff (am the token non-techie superuser) and techie stuff that appears really easy/straightforward to most of the people on here, remains incomprehensible much of the time.

Your post has been flagged up, behind the scenes, so hopefully someone will get in touch to give you some constructive help. I don't know which of the Help Team is here over the weekend but some of them should be, if you want to try an @ ref for any of them 😐

The migration to Greenby should be beneficial for most customers (being enabled to retain plus.com and F9 addresses, etc. instead of losing them) but in my view the migration (process) (for each customer) isn't complete until everything is working properly "on the other side".

... so I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect help from PN until then (probably via these forums rather than the telephone helplines however, as many of the phone-support people might not be up to speed on migration-specifics).

Meanwhile if you were to paste said code/instructions into a post here (remove any personal content such as noidea@noidea.f9.net by replacing with something like username@username.f9.net) then other more techie forum-users might be able to pitch in and give you some clue as to what Greenby are trying to explain.

I'm not an expert, but while you're waiting for one, have you tried logging in to your Plusnet webmail? The instructions on how to do it are here: https://www.plus.net/help/email-guides/how-to-use-webmail/

You should still be able to access your emails on Plusnet webmail even if you have been moved to Greenby.

Re: Need help since going over to Greenby

Oh dear. Think I might have replied in the wrong place. Never used a forum before but I was desperate.
Someone from Greenby is trying to help me but still not sorted. Not sure why one account has stopped working since going over and my main one is not.
Can at least find the missing ones on the Greenby but they don’t come through to my iPad.
Thank you so much for your input.

Re: Need help since going over to Greenby

Think I now have it sorted. The person dealing with this today was helpful. I added a new account (IMAP) using the account settings on my Greenby dashboard. At first this didn’t work so I sent screenshots of what I’d done. Just needed to alter my username to my email address and this seems to have sorted it 🤞

Definitely not a ‘seamless’ transfer from Plusnet and made more stressful because I’m in the middle of a house sale so really needed access to my emails.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help. . Appreciate your kindness and suggestions.
