Mozzilla Thunderbird

Hi , I am trying to set up my mail account on Thunderbird but for some reason I can send mail but have no problem reciving mail ?, i did a search on google and found it could be something to do with port 25 .
Any idea s as I put all the settings in as stated by Plusnet support help

Should read cant send mail .

Problem solved  was a firewall issue
