Mozillat Tunderbird not working after virus cleanup

Hi,
I had a nasty Trojan and a few other viruses, which I managed to clean up with Stopzilla. Now I find that Mozilla Thundebird, which is my default email, does not work. It cannot connect to Plusnet and I have not changed any settings from the time it worked. Surprizingly, Outlook Express works.
Is it possible that you blocked me when I had the virus? I have checked all the email settings and they are OK.
Can you help, please.

More likely that something in the thunderbird profile has been corrupted or moved by either the virus or its subsequent removal. I suspect if you delete the profile and create a new one it'll sort things out for you.

I will try that Matt, but I think that the more likely problem is that your website in not responding. Quite often it times out several times before I get it. Really frustrating. I also get regular "no response" on my mobile when downloading emails.

I've had no problems whatsoever using Thunderbird with the new spam appliances, albeit using the Force9 servers and IMAP in my case.
