I have very recently upgraded my mobile phone to a Nokia E5 based on thge 3 network
I can receive emails AOK but sending them is apparently impossible (Force9 do not support emails from mobiles i am told in reply to a raised ticket)
I have tried every combination of user , p/w , smtp port but to no avail
3 admit that they and virtually all mobile networks block port 25
Does anyone have a way out of this confusion
Regards Andy

Easiest way is probably to use the outgoing mail server of your mobile provider to send emails - that should sort things for you. Alternatively (though not sure if this'll work if port 25 is blocked) you could sign up for a gmail account and use their outgoing server?

Also, as far as the claim that "virtually all mobile networks block port 25", O2 and Vodafone definately don't block port 25.
3's smtp details have been posted on here before, so I'm sure someone will be able to find them easily enough.
